Immunization Camp 

A free Immunization Camp was held on 11th January 2023 at the ashrama premises in collaboration with Digboi CHC where about 19 children received free immunization vaccines through this camp. 

National Youth Day '23 in the light of 

Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav

Ramakrishna Mission, Digboi celebrated National Youth Day '23 in the light of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav on 12th January 2023 as of every year. We had organized a series of Art, Quiz, Singing, Recitation and Speech Competition from 25th December 2022 till 8th January 2023 among the students from schools in and around Digboi. We notified 21 schools to participate in the competition from which around 166 students participated. In the evening from 6.50 PM a cultural program was arranged where Sri Monjit Borkakoti ADC, Tinsukia was present as Chief Guest, Sri Jayanta Moh anta, DDF, Tinsukia was present as Honorable Guest and Srimati Pranoti Roy (Ex. Principal VKV)Sri Shiv Upadhyaya (Headmaster, Digboi High School) were present as Honorable Guest Speakers. Prizes were distributed to the award winners from the different categories. During the entire programme about 100 students, teachers, and devotees, guardians were present.

The celebration of 161st Tithi Puja of Swami Vivekananda

On 14th January 2023, the 161st Tithi Puja of Swami Vivekananda was celebrated in Ramakrishna Mission, Digboi with Magalarati, Vedic chanting, Stotrapatha, Devotional Singing, Breakfast-Offering, Bhagawat-Geeta path, ‘Katha Upanishad' patha, Special Puja, Anna Bhoga and Homa. Sri Kamal Bose read from Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda. Cooked Anna Prasad was distributed among 240 volunteers and devotees. After evening prayer, a cultural programme was held where Shivatosh Das, Retd. Teacher Vivekananda Vidyalaya and Swami Arunatmananda gave a spiritual discourse on Swami Vivekananda. Prasad was again distributed in hand within 30 devotees present. 

Visit of Revered Swami SuviranandaJi Maharaj at Ramakrishna Mission, Digboi.

It is our great joy to let you all know that Revered Swami Suvirananda Ji, General Secretary, Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, has set his holy footprint at Digboi centre on 25th January 2023 and stayed at the ashrama for a night while returning from the Golden Jubilee Celebration of RKM Narottam Nagar, Arunachal Pradesh. Revered Swami Achuteshananda Ji, Swami ArunatmanandaJi and Swami Vedasarananda Ji escorted him throughout his tour of upper North- East India. Revered Swami Suviranandaji spoke on the Sri Sri Sri Thakur Ma Swamiji and the 125 glorious years of Ramakrishna Mission Movement in the evening after the Vesper Service of Sri Sri Thakur. Volunteers and devotees were fed cooked prasad on the holy occasion both in the afternoon and evening after the Revered Maharaj Ji's spiritual  . Revered Maharaj left for Belur Math on 26th January morning. Revered Swami Achuteshananda Ji hosted the National Flag of India, on the 74th Republic Day at the ashrama premises.

Bhakta Sammelana

We are glad to inform you all that Ramakrishna Mission, Digboi on the occasion of 125th Anniversary of Ramakrishna Mission conducted a Bhakta Sammelan on 29th January 2023. The convention with cultural programs started with lighting the lamps and offering Arghyas to the Holy Trio from 9.45 AM with vedic chanting, addresses by revered guests, Japa & meditations, devotional songs, readings from the Ramkrishna-Vedanta Literatures and interaction with the present devotees in a short spiritual question and answers form. Revered Swami ArunatmanandaJi, Secretary Ramakrishna Mission Digboi welcomed all and felicitated the revered guests present. Honourable Speakers present on the dais Revered Swami ShastrajnanandaJi, Secretary Ramakrishna Mission, Saradapith spoke on "Satya - Kai Juger Sadhana'', Revered Swami KripakaranandaJi, Secretary Ramakrishna Mission, Itanagar spoke on "Sri Sri Ma of Seva Yog", and Sri Partitosh Nandi, Retd. Headmaster, Doomdooama Vidhlaya spoke on "Swamiji's Karmayog in everyday life". The meeting ended at about 2.30 P.M with distribution of Cooked prasad to 304 devotees and about 20 volunteers present. 

 

In the evening from 6:30 P.M. Revered Swami KripakaranandaJi presented devotional and classical music to devotees present. Cooked payasam prasad was again distributed in-hand.
