National Youth Day Celebration 2024 

Ramakrishna Mission, Digboi celebrated National Youth Day'24 on 12th January 2024 and organized a procession for the occasion from 7.45 AM to 9.00 A.M. in the morning. At first, the procession started from the Ashrama and circled popular places nearby Digboi. General devotees along with Ashrama volunteers have participated and school students participated in the procession.  There were about 100 participants. Refreshments were served to each of them.

To celebrate National Youth Day we organized a series of Art, Quiz, Singing and Essay Competition from 17th December'23 to 7th January'24 among the students from schools of Digboi. Many schools were notified to participate in the competition where about 60 students participated. On 12th January 2024 evening from 6.45 PM a cultural program was started with lighting of lamps and 'Vedic Chanting'. Sri Gautam Purakayastha, Vice-Principal Digboi College, Sri Jayanta  Mahanta Retd., Deputy Director Food And Civil Supplies Consumer Affairs, Tinsukia and Swami Aruatmananda spoke on Swami Vivekananda's view and  his contribution to Indian Independence. Swami Vivekananda's 'Swadesh Mantra' was repeated with the students present. Prizes were distributed among 42 winners from the different categories of the competitions held. The singers  who won the prizes were given the chance to perform in the dais. One of our volunteers spoke on Swamiji who participated in the Belur Math Youth Convention. During the entire programme about 60 students, teachers, and devotees, guardians were present. Refreshments were served at the end to 150 .
